How booking works, what the deposit does, and what happens if plans change. Written so there are no surprises later.

These terms cover using this website and booking makeup or hair services with Nie Makeup Artist, run by Stefany Morales in Essendon North, Victoria 3041, Australia. ABN: [pending].
By sending an enquiry or paying a deposit you are agreeing to them. If something here does not sit right with you, email niemakeupartist@gmail.com before you book.
Sending an enquiry does not book anything. Stefany reviews each one personally, usually within 24 to 48 hours, and if your date is free she sends you a full quote.
A quote is valid for five days and is based on the details you gave us. If your services, party size, location or timing change, the price changes with them and we will send you an updated quote before anything goes ahead.
Prices shown on this website are a guide. The quote Stefany sends you is the price that applies.
Nothing holds your date until the deposit is paid. Until then the date stays open to other enquiries, even if you have been quoted.
The deposit is 20% of your quote and it is not refundable. That is because paying it takes your date off the calendar and turns other bookings away for it.
There is one exception: if Stefany cannot attend because of a serious emergency and no replacement artist can be arranged, you are refunded in full, deposit included.
The payment link in your quote stays valid for five days.
The remaining balance is paid on the day, by cash or bank transfer. Card payment is only ever used for the deposit.
Stefany works with a small circle of artists she knows and trusts. If she cannot attend your date, she may arrange one of them instead. You will be sent that artist's portfolio and Instagram first, so you can see their work before deciding anything, and Stefany coordinates the details herself.
If you would rather not go ahead with a different artist, and no arrangement suits you, you are refunded in full.
Accurate details when you book - especially the address where you will be getting ready, the time you need to be ready by, and how many people are having services. The travel charge and the schedule are worked out from these, and getting them wrong can affect the price or the timing on the day.
Access to the location at the agreed time, with somewhere to set up and, ideally, natural light and a power point.
Being ready to start on time. If the schedule runs late for reasons outside our control, services may need to be shortened so the rest of the party is finished on time.
Telling us about allergies or skin sensitivities before the day, so products can be chosen safely. You are responsible for letting us know.
If something changes - the date, the timing, the number of people - tell us as early as you can and we will do what we can to accommodate it. Any change to the date depends on availability and is confirmed in writing.
Any variation to what was quoted is agreed in writing between you and Stefany before it happens.
The text, photographs and design on this site belong to Nie Makeup Artist and are not to be copied or reused without permission.
Do not use this site or its forms to send anything unlawful, misleading or abusive, or attempt to interfere with how it works.
The chat assistant on this site gives general information only. What is in your quote and in these terms is what applies.
Makeup and hair services are provided with reasonable care and skill. Results depend on things we do not control, including your skin and hair on the day, the products you have used beforehand, weather and how long you wear the look.
We are not responsible for a reaction to a product where an allergy or sensitivity was not disclosed to us beforehand.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded. Where we are permitted to limit our liability, it is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
If they change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones published when you paid your deposit.
