Yarra Valley weddings usually mean a house or a lodge on the property, getting ready with the vineyards outside the window. It is beautiful light to work in, and it is also the reason the timing has to be planned carefully: the day tends to run outdoors, and makeup needs to hold through an afternoon in it.
The valley is around 59 kilometres from the Essendon North studio - close to an hour of driving each way, and longer on a Saturday morning. That drive is planned into the schedule rather than absorbed on the day, which for most valley weddings means Stefany leaves the studio well before sunrise so she is set up and starting on time.
Long days outdoors are the main thing that shapes a valley look. Products are chosen for staying power in heat and wind, and a wedding day touch-up can be added for later in the afternoon if you want the look refreshed before the reception.
